WA Energy Experts · Solar & Battery Maintenance

Don't wait for something to go wrong. Catch it before it does.

Most solar systems get installed and then completely forgotten about, until something goes wrong. At Redtail Energy, we think that's a missed opportunity. A well-maintained system performs better, lasts longer, and catches small issues before they become expensive ones.

We offer on-site system audits where we assess how your solar and battery setup is actually performing against what it should be, checking generation data, battery health, inverter performance and the condition of all hardware. If something's underperforming, we'll tell you exactly why and what it'll take to fix it.

For homeowners who want ongoing peace of mind, we also offer a six-monthly maintenance plan: a regular check-in to make sure everything is running as it should, year round. And if your system needs a repair, whether it's your inverter, panels, battery or wiring, we can handle that too.

About Redtail Energy

WA Energy Experts
Backed by experience. Driven by doing it right.

Redtail Energy was founded by Matthew, a Perth-based electrician who spent years working across some of WA's most respected solar businesses before deciding it was time to do things on his own terms.

Having worked at every level of the industry, from boots-on-the-roof installs through to operations and sales, Matthew saw firsthand how often quality gets traded away in the race to the bottom on price. Too many homeowners have been left with systems that don't perform, warranties that don't get honoured, and no one to call when something goes wrong.

We're a small operation by choice. Because small means accountable.

The Redtail Difference

Why Choose Redtail.

Choosing the right solar team matters. At Redtail Energy, the focus is on dependable service, clear communication and delivering systems that actually perform sized to your home, your tariff and your future plans, year after year.

In-House Electricians

Every job is done by our own SAA-accredited team. The person who quotes is connected to the person installing, one accountable team, one standard.

No subcontractors. No race to the bottom on price. No "warranty issue, not our problem" once the truck pulls away.

Rebates Handled End-to-End

WA Battery Scheme, Federal Cheaper Home Batteries, STCs, all assigned and submitted as part of the install. The savings come straight off your quote.

No paperwork to chase. No fine print to decode. Just the right rebates, properly stacked.

Honest System Sizing

We size every system to your real energy use, factoring in roof orientation, shading, tariff structure and future plans like an EV or battery.

You end up with a system that performs, not a generic package designed to maximise our margin.

WA Owned & Operated

Not a national call centre. There's a real person behind every job who genuinely cares how it turns out, start to finish, with you for the long haul.

Perth's solar resource is world-class. We make sure your system is too.

What We Install

Many services.
One accountable team.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions about Solar & Battery Maintenance?

How often should my solar system be serviced?

The Clean Energy Council recommends a professional inspection every two years at minimum. For systems that include a battery, six-monthly checks are a smart move because the additional hardware adds points where things can quietly underperform.

Our six-monthly maintenance plan covers a full performance audit, hardware inspection and a tidy-up of anything that needs attention, so you don’t end up discovering a problem on next year’s electricity bill.

What does a solar audit involve?

My inverter is showing an error code. Can you fix it?

Can you maintain a system that Redtail Energy didn't install?

What's included in the six-monthly maintenance plan?

Matt didn't try to sell us the biggest system on the market, he sized it to what we actually use. The install was clean, the rebate paperwork was handled, and twelve months in it's producing exactly what he said it would.
