Our Story

One frustrated sparky.
One simple idea.

Redtail Energy was founded by Matthew, a Perth-based electrician who spent years working across some of WA's most respected solar and energy businesses before deciding it was time to do things on his own terms.

Having worked at every level of the industry, from boots-on-the-roof installations through to operations and sales, Matthew saw firsthand how often quality gets traded away in the race to the bottom on price. Cheap systems. Rushed installs. Subcontractors who never set foot on the job again once the panels were screwed down.

The solar industry has taken a hit from shonky installs, dodgy salesmen and companies that overpromise and underdeliver. Too many Perth homeowners have ended up with systems that don't perform, warranties that don't get honoured, and no one to call when something goes wrong.

Redtail Energy exists because it doesn't have to be that way.
