Project Overview
8.8kW solar system with a Solis hybrid inverter and 15.5kWh of modular battery storage, retrofitted to an established Cloverdale home.
The Challenge
An established home with an older metal roof, an existing satellite dish and TV antenna to work around, and a switchboard that needed upgrading before any storage could be connected safely.
The Solution
We upgraded the switchboard, then laid out 20 panels across the north face, working cleanly around the existing roof fixtures. A Solis hybrid inverter was wall-mounted in the garage alongside three modular battery units, each protected by bollards and positioned for easy future expansion.
The Result
The retrofit took two days including the switchboard upgrade. The owners now self-consume around 85% of what they generate, and the modular battery setup leaves room to add a fourth unit when their EV arrives.

Redtail sorted the switchboard, the panels and the battery in one go. No mess, no surprises, and the quote was exactly what we paid.
